At the end of last week, a small crew returned from an exciting and promising business trip to Södertälje, Sweden, where both the Scania headquarters and their Demo Centre are located. Our excellent relationship with Scania meant we were able to organize a very interesting agenda for our visit. While the main goal of our crew was to record the sounds of a few of Scania's new engines, we have also been able to spice up our schedule a bit with activities related to a few other promising projects too. These will have to remain secret for some time, but we are sure you will love what we have planned. When it comes to the sound-recording part of our trip to Södertälje, we are…

At the beginning of this month, we shared a short video teaser containing some clues hinting towards an unannounced DLC. With so much speculation in the air, we have decided it would be the right time to put some of those rumors to rest. We are excited to officially announce that we are working on... Kansas for American Truck Simulator Once considered to be the country’s agricultural heartland, "The Sunflower State" has attracted many large businesses and grown economically in other areas due to its central location and convenient infrastructure for logistics operations. But, as the nickname suggests, nature is certainly doing very well to keep up with technological progr…

Last month we officially announced our plans to rework the country of Switzerland in Euro Truck Simulator 2 and since the work is progressing really nicely, we are now ready to take a look at another wonderful city that will receive a fresh look in this challenging project - Geneve! Due to the complicated and turbulent history that Geneve shares with France, it is safe to say that it is the most "French city" that lies beyond the actual state borders. Among many other details, this legacy is mostly noticeable in the local architecture, which we hope will be better represented after having the entire city rebuilt from scratch. Additionally, the rework will further enhanc…

The state of Oklahoma is home to a variety of industries, and today we are happy to share with you previews and information on some of the new and unique depots that you'll be able to deliver to in our upcoming Oklahoma DLC for American Truck Simulator. Please mind, due to the development still being in the early stages, the following screenshots are not from a completed map as the areas are still a work-in-progress. Tire Factory One of the wheely unique industries in Oklahoma is the presence of two of the most famous tire manufacturers in the world. Based in the cities of Lawton and Ardmore, the state's history of tire-making stretches back nearly a century. At full ca…

Since November, truck simulation fans around the world have been celebrating the release of the Texas DLC for American Truck Simulator by taking part in our #CruisingTexas World of Trucks event. During this special event, truckers could earn Texas themed in-game rewards by completing personal and community goals whilst delivering to and from multiple cities across the Lone Star State. It didn't take our #BestCommunityEver long to smash through the set community goal of 125,000,000 miles (201,168,000 km); in just over 2 weeks, the goal was met! We are always blown away by the work and effort put in by our players to complete these events. We really ought to up the ante in…

Last month, we shared a blogpost containing information and previews of Border Crossings in our upcoming West Balkans DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2. With 30 crossings in total, we couldn't fit them all in just one blogpost! Today we are happy to share with you even more screenshots of unique border control points found across this in development DLC, we hope you don't mind! In the first blogpost, we shared that our map and asset teams have constructed these crossings as realistically as possible. These regions contain some very unique and sometimes unusual border control areas which can be sometimes difficult to obtain information or references about, due to their sensi…

Germany Rework - Frankfurt am Main

Hallo, Freunde! It’s time to look at another city that will receive a brand-new look in the upcoming rework of the German cities that we are currently working on. Today, we’ll show and tell you a bit about what changes you can expect to see in the amazing city of Frankfurt am Main. Perhaps you have already noticed the frequent pattern but reworks of individual cities are no easy feat, as once again we had to build the entire area from scratch with only a few exceptions. You will still find a familiar garage and Iveco truck dealer in the city and the ring road has mostly remained the same with an exception of a new junction in the northern part, where it connects to the Au…

How time flies! The year 2022 is behind us and, as always, we would like to take a brief look back at everything that we went through over the last twelve months. When we glance at the combined development and progression of American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2, we can say that there are certainly a lot of positives that are worth bringing up. We have managed to release several projects, such as map expansions, new vehicles and parts, in-game features, and general improvements in numerous updates. But to top it all off, we are glad that we could further strengthen some of the partnerships with real-life brands, which, as well as this being reflected in our …

We know you love sneak peeks when it comes to real-life brands and their facilities. Today, we have good information for you, as some members of the SCS team recently traveled across the pond to spend some quality time with the kind people of PACCAR, the parent company of Kenworth Truck Company and Peterbilt Motors Company. The journey took us to the PACCAR Technical Center in Washington and to Denton, Texas, where the Peterbilt headquarters is located. We’d like to thank Brianna Potthast, Tim Lychik, and Don Palmer from Kenworth for arranging the visit to the Technical Center, as well as Derek Sancer, Hanson Morris, and Justin Tjahjono of the Industrial Design team at P…
